Eight years of autonomy
Autobee was founded in 2016 at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to develop intelligent ground vehicles for civilian and military purposes. What began on land now spans the sea and the sky.
Origin
Established in 2016 at ITU's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, debuting at the IGVC in Oklahoma the following year.
Today
A multi-domain team operating on land, sea and air, with continuous 24/7 research and development.

How we got here
2016
Autobee is founded
Established at ITU's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to develop intelligent ground vehicles for civilian and military purposes.
2017
IGVC debut
Competed with a second-generation ground vehicle at the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition at Oklahoma University.
2019
Into the air
Expanded beyond the ground with the first VTOL aircraft, entering the METU VTOL competition.
2021
Onto the water
Launched the Vesselbee programme, moving into autonomous surface vessels and the maritime domain.
2023
Njord champions
Won first place at the Njord Autonomous Ship Challenge in Norway — a milestone in autonomous maritime systems.
2024
RoboBoat champions
Took first place at RoboBoat in Florida, USA — claiming a second international autonomous-vessel title in two years.
